Taylor Gaines and Bryan Faux are excited. You know why? Because “Mr. Robot” is back. And it’s probably the show of the summer. The guys break down its abysmal season two premiere ratings, the first two episodes themselves, and try to figure out where the show will go from here. They really geek out on this one. They had fun; maybe you will, too.

Fauxworthy Podcast Episode 29: Murder, Knives, Taxis, and Summer TV

Taylor Gaines and Bryan Faux are here to discuss the battle for our summer TV attention. Is HBO’s “The Night Of” in prime position to dethrone “Mr. Robot”? Only time will tell. They discuss what makes “The Night Of” compelling, the fact that crime storytelling is stronger than ever, theories about the titular Night Of, and more.

Note: Apparently, “The Night Of” is based off some kind of British show or something…no matter.

Back to TV we go! This week, we talked about “UnREAL” and its second season premiere as well as “The Americans” and its fourth season finale. There’s a surprising amount of talk about “Breaking Bad,” too.

We discussed “UnREAL” ramping things up for Season Two, female antiheroes, pragmatism and diversity, morality and reality television, the future of “The Americans,” and whether the finale was hampered by FX’s two-season renewal.

Timeline:

Fauxworthy Podcast Episode 26: Throwing Away Our Shot

We did something out of the ordinary this week. Instead of talking about television, we talked about musical theater.

That’s right! With the Tony Awards coming up this Sunday night, Bryan and Taylor decided to dive into the phenomenon that is 16-time nominee “Hamilton” and rank all 46 songs on the nearly 150-minute long soundtrack. Taylor ran through his list from the bottom (46) to No. 12, where Bryan joined in for each man to reveal his top 12.

Lots of fun and random bursts into song on this one. What will be number one? Listen to find out!

Timeline:

00:00 Intro

04:35 Taylor’s No. 46-10

15:00 Bryan and Taylor Top 10

23:40 Things Happening Soon
