Fauxworthy Podcast Episode 11: “You’re The Worst” Season Two Finale

Bryan and Taylor are back! And this week, they discuss the surprisingly hopeful ending of “You’re The Worst” Season Two and some of the beautiful bits of writing therein. [SPOILERS AHEAD, SO BEWARE!] First, they discuss the finale and break down how the B, C and D storylines played out and whether they were successful. Are some of the supporting characters too abrasive? Or too dumb? (0:45-12:55) More importantly, did the show stick the landing with the payoff to Gretchen and Jimmy’s season-long difficulties? (13:30-18:00) Then, they discuss what is next for “You’re The Worst” Season Three. Where will the show go from here? (18:00-20:15) Finally, Bryan and Taylor tease what’s left this year for the Fauxworthy Podcast (20:15-22:27). Only three episodes left, so stay tuned!

Fauxworthy Podcast Episode 10: TV Deaths, “Master of None” and “Jessica Jones”

This week, Bryan and Taylor discuss TV’s recent inclination toward killing (or more often, fake-killing) main characters at the end of episodes. Slight spoilers for “Game of Thrones,” “The Leftovers” and “The Walking Dead” in that discussion (1:35-12:40). [BONUS WARNING: Taylor said a bad word. “The Leftovers” was so good this week, it robbed him of his speaking ability.] They also revisit “Master of None” after Taylor finished it over the weekend. Definitely spoilers in that discussion, so skip it if you don’t want to know what happens in that show (12:40-19:25). Finally, they briefly discuss Netflix’s latest Marvel series, “Jessica Jones,” and tease next week’s episode. No spoilers in that conversation (19:25-25:23). FauxworthyLogo

Next week, Malik Grady (@MalikG) will join us to take a deep dive on “Jessica Jones” and all things Comic Book TV. So be prepared for a fun episode.

Fauxworthy Podcast Episode 9: Is “You’re The Worst” Done Being a Comedy? Was “Project Greenlight” A Success?

Bryan and Taylor discuss “You’re The Worst” and its shift from comedy (1:10-10:15), Aziz Ansari’s “Master of None” and its distinct take on the world (10:15-16:50) as well as HBO’s “Project Greenlight” and the ensuing “The Leisure Class” (16:50-21:55). Then, Taylor pimps his new column (http://gainesvillescene.com/2015/11/17/hidden-in-plain-view-unreal-2/) and they tease next week’s discussion over TV fake-outs.
